While riding the freight train lines, Zander was caught by CP railroad officals. In an attempt to evade the railroad police, he wound up falling off a tank car, and onto the railroad track. Claiming four fingers but not his life.

 

Despite the traumatic incident he continued to play guitar. From playing dive bar blues jams, a taste for Rockabilly. He now fronts The Van Dangos.
