SOUL PURPOSE
Soul Purpose was started by a group of doctors from Burnaby hospital and has been performing for over 30 years! The band was a regular performer at the Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam (before it became the Hard Rock) as well as at the River Rock Casino. They've performed at many Clubs such as The Commodore, Richards on Richards, Mavericks at the Expo '86 grounds, and at The Yale Hotel, The Fairview Hotel, The Admiral Pub, the Crescent Beach Legion Branch 240 (AKA "Club 240") and at the Ocean Park Hall, as well as at Festivals such as Golden Spike Days in Port Moody, and at many Corporate Events (latest was at the HEU Convention at the Marriott Downtown), and at Charity Galas such as "Zajac Nights" at The Terminal City Club, downtown and at "Doc's Rock" for many years (benefiting The Children's Wish Foundation).
As far as flexibility goes, they have done gigs as a smaller, 7 pc band (without the trombone & trumpet) or even as small as a 5 pc (keys, guitar, 2 girls + sax) or 4 pc (keys, guitar & 2 girls -or- keys, guitar, 1 girl & sax). They call the smaller 5 & 4 pc versions "Billy White & "the Rockettes".
