Richard is a vocalist, theatre-maker, and vocal coach living in Vancouver, BC. He was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa and has been working across disciplines in the entertainment industry for the past decade.

His career has taken him all over the globe. He has performed in shows that toured South Africa, Asia, and New Zealand and has worked as a lead production vocalist for Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Whilst cruising, Richard created two solo crooner shows that were a massive hit with guests: “Cape Town Crooner” and “Michael Bublé Fan Club”.

Richard was a former lead vocalist for Shout Music Company’s event and wedding band “Moonshine”. ShoutMC, founded by Dan Shout, is comprised of the best jazz musicians in South Africa and has hosted international greats like Adam Larson and Chad LB.

Richard’s performance style is inspired greatly by jazz crooners old and new, as well as his background in theatre. His wish is to not only entertain but to create an  infectiously fun energy that’ll make any event that much more special and memorable.
