Originally from Sheffield England, Mike Taylor grew up listening to music in church and was influenced by the beautiful melodies and arrangements of gospel music. Mike also has an ear for popular music and like so many artists, it became a passion of his to learn as many songs as he could. His repertoire consists and music greats such as James Taylor, Elton John, John Mayer, Marvin Gaye, Sting, The Beatles and much more!

Mike moved to Canada and joined original funk rock band, Peace Love Dog. The band toured across the country and inked a development record deal in Toronto. Mike has also had the opportunity to work as a singer and session musician with some heavy weight producers in Canada for over 18 years.

 

Mike is also a member of one of Vancouver's longest standing duo and trio acts, Acoustic Groove. The band has been together for over 16 years and is currently the house band for Harbour Cruises. Another notable gig is when his group performed during the 2010 Olympics for the mayor of Surrey, Diane Watts and many other influential guests.

Like many Canadian musicians, Mike is making the steady transition to virtual performances and has gained a reputation for his silky smooth vocals, top notch guitar skills and professional demeanour.
