DAVE HARTNEY
Dave Hartney is a rising force in the Canadian Country music scene from North Vancouver. The past few summers Dave has played BC’s largest country festivals & events, including Sunfest where he has opened for headliners Dallas Smith, Brett Young and Dustin Lynch. In 2018, Dave was given the honour of closing out the festival in the beer gardens immediately following Eric Church, after also playing the main stage. He returned to the event again for two nights in 2019, performing at the after parties immediately following both Maren Morris and Kip Moore.
Closer to home, Dave was the headlining act for the ever popular indoor beer gardens (Long Horn Saloon) at this year’s Cloverdale Rodeo, and was featured on the Rodeo’s float for the nationally televised Vancouver and Langley Santa Clause Parades last Christmas. He also performed at this year’s Gone Country cancer fundraiser festival in Langley (an event that raised almost a million dollars in a single day, and over $3.5 million since the event began, to fight cancer), as well as three nights at the Williams Lake Stampede.
Dave has also played guitar for Aaron Pritchett at both Rogers Arena and the Williams Lake Stampede kickoff party. Over the years Dave has been a repeated guest of the BC Lions at their tailgate parties, and his live show is sure to impress and win over new fans.
Dave crossed the country on his second national radio tour this February supporting the release of his 2nd single “Everything Girl,” which was his first charting single at country radio. The song was added to Spotify’s “Down Home Country” playlist, helping it reach 150,000 streams and counting, and featured in the Nielsen Billboard newsletter. Dave’s songs have also been played at his hometown NHL rink during Vancouver Canuck’s hockey games at Rogers Arena. The music video, directed by CCMA Director of the Year Stephano Barberis, is available on YouTube. The single was co-written by Dave and CCMA award winning producer Jeff Johnson. Dave has previously had his songwriting recognized by the CCMA with a songwriter’s showcase during the CCMA Awards weekend. A song from Dave’s first album received a global sync on ABC’s hit TV show “Nashville” during the show’s second season.
